Circle Health Group’s Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to join the Theatre department on a full-time, 37.5-hour contract with a flexible shift pattern. The role involves assisting the surgical team, preparing instruments, maintaining sterility and patient safety, and contributing to a safe theatre environment.

The post requires current registration (NMC or HCPC) and theatre experience.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP with current registration.
• Experience or training in theatre environment (scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery).
• Understanding of infection control, manual handling and patient safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring equipment safety; support the Anaesthetist in equipment preparation, patient monitoring, airway management, and positioning; provide post-operative care and discharge readiness.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Check all surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults immediately.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and efficient surgical lists.
• Support and contribute to a positive, respectful and efficient theatre environment.
