Job summary

Circle Health Group at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Theatre Practitioner for a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

You will prepare instruments, maintain sterility, support the anaesthetist, monitor patients, and provide post-operative care, ensuring readiness for discharge. Requires NHS-style registration and theatre experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) required.
• Experience or training in a theatre environment (scrub, anaesthetics or recovery).
• Strong infection control and patient safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility for theatre lists.
• Assist surgical team and anaesthetist with equipment and patient monitoring.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check and report faults on surgical/anaesthetic equipment.
• Support a collaborative multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient lists.
