Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 scrub practitioner to join the General and Emergency theatre team. The role involves scrubbing for general and emergency surgical procedures and preparing theatres with equipment and supplies for each operation.

The post offers opportunities for career progression with an education team to support development. Sponsorship is not normally available, so applicants must have the right to work in the UK by the start date.

Qualifications

• Current NMC or HCPC registration as a Registered Nurse or ODP.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adaptability to change and a variable environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as scrub practitioner for general and emergency surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating theatre for surgery, including equipment and supplies for specific procedures.
• Communicate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.
• Provide high quality care for patients as part of the theatre team.
