Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner (General Theatres) at Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. You will join a highly skilled general and emergency theatre team and contribute to patient care, education, and ongoing development within theatres.

The role welcomes practitioners with or without theatre experience and offers an education strategy to support career progression. Sponsorship is not normally available; right-to-work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/ODP with current NMC or HCPC Registration
• Relevant scrub experience
• Teaching and assessing/mentoring qualification

Responsibilities

• Act as scrub practitioner for general and Emergency surgical procedures
• Communicate effectively within the MDT to provide excellent care
• Prepare operating theatre for surgery with required equipment and supplies
