Job summary

The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join their Theatre Scrub team on a bank basis. You'll assist the surgical team, maintain sterility, and support anesthesia while covering busy periods and annual leave.

Ideal candidates are registered nurses (NMC) or HCPC-registered practitioners with theatre experience in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery, and strong infection control knowledge.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Experience or training in a theatre environment (scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery).
• Understanding of infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, and supporting the anaesthetist.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Check surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient surgical lists.
• Support a positive, respectful theatre environment.
