Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in Whitehaven is seeking a Theatre Scrub Nurse/Practitioner to join the dynamic Theatre Team at West Cumberland Hospital. 37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months, closing date 10 November 2026.

Applicants will scrub, circulate and provide excellent intra-operative care across multiple surgical specialties. The post welcomes newly qualified RN/ODPs with a one-year preceptorship, salary progression via NHS terms, and opportunities to work

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/ODP with active NMC/HCPC registration.

• Post-registration theatre experience.
• Leadership skills and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative care within the Theatre Department.
• Scrub and circulate for surgical procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with the MDT.
• Demonstrate compassionate values and dignified care.
