Job summary

NCIC is recruiting a Band 5 Theatre Scrub Nurse/ODP at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. The role is 37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months, with day, night, weekend and on-call commitments.

The post offers a preceptorship and development opportunities across across multiple theatre specialties. The successful candidate will join a supportive team delivering high-quality intra-operative care in a large regional service, with potential cross-site experience and dedicated mentorship

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/ODP with active NMC/HCPC registration
• Commitment to undertake mentorship module on completion of preceptorship qualification
• Post Registration Theatre Experience
• Diploma/degree in Nursing. Leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative care as part of the Theatre team
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with patient and MDT
• Scrub and circulate for surgical procedures to support a safe, sterile environment
• Demonstrate compassionate values and behaviours in dignified care
