Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust in Chelmsford is seeking a Band 5 Scrub Nurse to join our theatre team. You will work with the burns and plastics service, delivering perioperative nursing care in a busy environment.

The role requires active registration as a Nurse or ODP, commitment to patient safety, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Training and career development are supported in our forward‑looking unit.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or ODP with current UK NMC/HCPC registration.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to develop skills in plastics surgery and burns care.

Responsabilités

• Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality perioperative nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic patient care.
• Maintain a safe environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and families.
• Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff and students.
• Support theatre budget and stock management.
• Maintain professional portfolio and pursue ongoing professional development.
