Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Southport is seeking Theatre Practitioners for a full-time, permanent post. You will join the Southport Theatre teams and support the operating theatre environment with commitment to high quality patient care.

The post requires UK theatre experience, current NMC/HCPC registration and a readiness for shift work, including weekends and on-call commitments. An Enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC or HCPC Registration
Relevant diploma or degree, or working towards
Teaching and assessing/mentoring qualification
Related ENB/Theatre courses
Knowledge of safeguarding and clinical practice within theatre

Responsibilities

To support the development of clinical teams by creating a learning environment where performance is reviewed
To support delegation of work within the team and review performance
To work with the Theatre Team Leader managing operational aspects of theatres
To establish excellent relationships with service users and promote joint working for service improvement
