Job summary

Theatre Practitioner - Scrub/Anaesthetics (Bank) at Park Hospital, Nottingham, is a flexible bank role within Circle Health Group. You will join the Theatre department team on an as-and-when-required basis, supporting scrub, anaesthetics or recovery roles and assisting with patient care.

We are looking for registered professionals with theatre experience, strong infection control knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Experience or training in theatre (scrub/anaesthetics/recovery).
• Infection control and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and safe surgical practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments and maintaining sterility.
• Support anaesthetist with equipment prep, monitoring, airway management and positioning.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor vitals, pain and nausea.
• Set up theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Check equipment and report faults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for safe and efficient lists.
• Contribute to a positive theatre environment.
