Job summary

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is seeking a dedicated Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to join our perioperative team. This role offers a part-time arrangement with potential consideration for full-time, and includes weekend work.

You will work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary theatre team, providing high standards of perioperative care. Registration with HCPC or NMC is required, with post-registration scrub experience.

• Registered with HCPC or NMC (or equivalent).
• Post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre setting.
• Evidence of working in a multi-disciplinary theatre team.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload.
• Provide high-quality perioperative care in a theatre environment.
• Utilise state-of-the-art theatre equipment and facilities.
• Supervise and support junior team members.
• Contribute to patient care planning and experience.

Theatre Practitioner - Scrub

Glasgow Hospital | Theatre | Part Time (Full-Time position may be considered) | Permanent Contract | Includes weekend work

Up to £41,250 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

24 hours per week

As a Scrub Practitioner/Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you’ll be focused, detail-oriented empathetic with great communication skills. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. With post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

• Work in a multi disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
• Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
• Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
• Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
• Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.
