Job summary

Theatre Practitioner to join Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen, part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading private healthcare provider. The role is a full-time 37.5-hour week with a flexible shift pattern, offering up to £40,000 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC or HCPC to practice.
• Theatre experience in scrub/anaesthetics/recovery is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility and equipment safety.
• Support the anaesthetist with equipment prep, patient monitoring and positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage pain and discharge readiness.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check equipment prior to use and report faults promptly.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient lists.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful theatre environment.
