Job summary

Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen, part of Circle Health Group, has an opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner to join the Theatre department. This is a part-time role for 21 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.

You will assist the surgical team, support the Anaesthetist with equipment and monitoring, and provide post-operative care while following infection control and patient safety standards. Circle Health Group offers a competitive salary up to £42,000 FTE per year and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC-registered ODP.
• Theatre experience in scrub, anaesthetics or recovery.
• Infection control and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility and equipment safety.
• Support the Anaesthetist with equipment preparation, monitoring and airway management.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery and discharge readiness.
• Adhere to infection prevention policies and contribute to a safe theatre environment.
