Job summary

Nuffield Health is hiring a Theatre Practitioner for Major Orthopaedic Scrub on a bank/ad hoc basis at Exeter Hospital. You’ll work within a busy surgical team, delivering high-quality perioperative care and collaborating with anaesthetists and surgeons.

The role requires registered status (NMC/HCPC) and prior major orthopaedic scrub experience, with a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork and flexibility to support bed-side care and patient outcomes.

• Theatre scrub experience required.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with consultants and theatre teams on orthopaedic cases.
• Provide care in anaesthetic and recovery phases of surgery.
• Supervise and support junior staff when needed.
• Collaborate with scrub and perioperative colleagues to prepare and monitor patients.

As a registered Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, you'll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. You'll have post-registration experience in major orthopaedic scrub role, be an excellent communicator and team worker - flexible and motivated.
