Job summary

Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to join our bank team. You’ll support scrub duties and patient safety across theatre sessions while collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team.

This ad-hoc bank role offers weekend work and a competitive hourly rate, up to £32.00 per hour, with access to holiday, pension and gym membership benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered with governing body (NMC/HPC).
• Post-registration scrub theatre experience.
• Adapts to ad-hoc bank shifts and team needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with theatre team in scrub capacity on complex cases.
• Provide safe and effective patient care before, during and after procedures.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
• Use state‑of‑the‑art equipment and follow clinical protocols.
• Supervise, support and develop junior team members where applicable.

As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our North Staffs Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC or HPC. You bring a passion for high standards, a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience.You’re a focused, flexible and motivated team worker.

As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP),you will:

Our purpose-build hospital has 39 bedrooms, 3 theatres and 1 minor treatment facility and busy outpatient department. We also provide physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. We are conveniently located on Clayton Road, off the A519. We also provide free parking for staff.
