Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a qualified nurse/ODP to coordinate and deliver skilled clinical care for a patient group, working with the multidisciplinary team and adhering to NMC/HCPC guidelines. You will contribute to the development and supervision of junior staff while supporting ongoing education and skills development.

You will also assist in managing a theatre or unit, uphold high standards of care, and participate in service improvements to ensure patient safety

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide skilled clinical practice (without direct supervision) to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under NMC/HCPC Code of Conduct.
• Contribute to the continued development of Nurses/ODPs, including supervision of junior staff.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based care for a group of patients.
• Assist and contribute to the management and organisation of a theatre or unit.
• Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of nursing/ODP care and to staff education.
