Circle Health Group is accepting applications for a Theatre Practitioner to join the Anaesthetic and Recovery team at Bishops Wood Hospital. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and offers a competitive salary up to £39,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will assist the surgical team, maintain sterility, monitor patients, support the anaesthetist, and provide post-operative care.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Experience or training in a theatre environment specialising in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery.
• Understanding of infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Aufgaben

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; support anaesthetist in equipment prep, monitoring, airway management and patient positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage pain and nausea, and assist discharge readiness.
• Adhere to infection control policies at all times.
• Set up operating theatres per surgery type and patient needs.
• Check equipment before use and report faults.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient lists.
