Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker at Torbay Hospital

As a Healthcare Support Worker at Torbay Hospital, you'll assist patients during their stay by ensuring they receive the quality care and support they deserve.

You will support the General Theatre team to deliver safe and high-quality care, being adaptable and responsive to meet individual patient needs.

Working as part of a team, your responsibilities include ensuring a safe perioperative pathway for patients, which involves preparing theatre, organizing kit, and supporting patients.

You Will

1. Ensure kit is ready and available as required by the scrub nurse and surgeon.
2. Accurately maintain records as required.
3. Ensure the theatre is clean, tidy, and fit for purpose.
4. Keep up to date with training on equipment required for surgical specialties.
5. Occasionally support other areas such as Recovery, DSU, and Orthopaedics.
6. Escort patients from SAVW to theatres as needed.
