Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to support the perioperative journey across our 8 theatres and procedure rooms. You will uphold patient safety, participate in team-based care and contribute to high-quality theatre delivery.

You will perform perioperative checks, assist with theatre setups, complete documentation, and support teaching and learning of students and colleagues in a fast-paced, infection-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to promote patient safety and theatre efficiency.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to patient care.
• Experience with perioperative theatre checks and documentation (digital and paper).
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced department and learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the Theatre alongside the theatre team for anaesthetic and surgical procedures.
• Complete Perioperative Theatre checks and designated theatre documentation.
• Support teaching and supervision of students and colleagues.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, usable department.
• Report to Team Leaders to complete daily theatre orientated tasks.
