Function as the lead practitioner for an operating theatre or a designated area, acting as a role model for the clinical team.

Demonstrate ability to function competently both as a leader and as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

Participate in the anaesthetic rota and be the lead practitioner when on duty and co-ordinate in Obstetric Theatres when required.

Act as a resource person to others, providing advice and support to the MDT, patients and relatives.

Assist in the management of the theatres to ensure excellence in patient care and to have responsibility for staff and service development.

Develop the clinical protocols and SOPs.

Contribute to an effective, motivated and competent workforce and ensure that high quality standards are maintained and developed.

Contribute to the development of performance review in accordance with Trust policy. Be receptive to change with the Department and encourage new ideas and developments.
