Livett’s Launches Ltd in London on the River Thames is seeking a Shore-Based Marine Engineer to maintain safety and reliability of our fleet. You will perform planned maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across vessels, working with operations and crews in a busy maritime environment.

This hands-on role requires initiative, strong mechanical skills, and a commitment to safety. We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience and opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience as Marine Engineer or marine technician with hands-on maintenance.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience working on marine engines, propulsion systems and vessel machinery.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative during breakdowns.
• Committed to safety, reliability and quality workmanship.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across the fleet.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Respond to engineering call-outs and breakdowns as required.
• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs to vessel machinery and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and engineering works.
• Liaise with vessel crews to identify and resolve engineering issues.
• Work with external contractors and specialist engineers where required.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota, where required.
