Job summary

Elis is seeking a hands-on operations professional in Southampton to lead a strong textile culture on site and manage textile purchasing within budget targets.

You will monitor customer demand, adjust stock seasonally, optimise textile availability, and work with Customer Services to uphold service standards. The role requires data literacy, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive, organised approach to reduce waste and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in an operations or service-led role.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in laundry/textile services or customer-focused environments is a plus.
• IT literate, organised and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Lead and embed a strong textile culture on the site.
• Manage site-level textile purchasing and ensure spend aligns with budget targets.
• Monitor customer demand, adjust stock levels seasonally, and optimise textile availability.
• Collaborate with Customer Services and Account Management to uphold service standards.
• Analyse customer behaviour, identify overconsumption, and advise on best practices.
• Oversee storeroom management, textile flow, and ragged-out/rewash processes.
• Drive textile reuse and reintegration to maximise garment life and reduce waste.
• Train internal teams and support customers on textile handling and care.
• Use data tools and reporting to influence business decisions.
