JOB TITLE: Testing & Quality Control Repair Technician - Desktop/Laptop

DEPARTMENT: Desktop/Laptop Testing Production

POSITION DESCRIPTION

To assist the production team in manufacturing bespoke desktop and laptop computer systems within a production-based environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Manual Handling training (can be completed in-house)

· ESD training (can be completed in house)

MAIN DUTIES:

· Working as part of a production-based team and setting exemplary standards.

· Work within a team to install and configure customer’s orders with the latest version of windows, drivers and software.

· Configure software to ensure all systems are tested to 100% functionality.

· Complete quality control checking to ensure highest quality of products are manufactured. Diagnostics and fault finding of faulty systems to ensure they are repaired within processing times. Ensure Admin systems are kept up to date with progression of orders if delays occur.

· Assist and advise all members of staff within the area on systems which have failed tests or have faults.

· Reporting of compatibility issues to the R&D manager & working to resolve in a timely manner. Create call backs to call centre for customer order changes where needed.

· Ensure all orders are ready for the testing team to process each morning.

· Work with area supervisor to ensure order processing is completed in a timely manner.

· Help create a positive working environment within the team and production area.

GENERAL DUTIES:

· Ensure a clean and safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

· Follow and apply all company procedures within the handbook.

· Willingly carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the company.

· Ensure any equipment that you use is in good working order.
