Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an Approved Electrician with a strong testing background to work on Wessex Water sites. The role involves carrying out fixed electrical testing, inspecting installations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The position offers an ongoing contract with consistent hours, accommodation support for candidates working away, and an immediate start from late October 2026.

Qualifications

• COMPEX certification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Job Description: Approved Electrician – Testing

Location: Water Treatment Site, Bournemouth

Rate: £30.00 per hour (first 38 hours) / £39.00 per hour thereafter

Hours: 50 hours per week

Start Date: 19th October 2026 (or as soon as possible)

Duration: Ongoing contract

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an Approved Electrician with a strong electrical testing background to work on Wessex Water sites.

The successful candidate will undertake fixed electrical testing across site facilities, ensuring electrical installations are safe, compliant and maintained to the required standards.

This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent hours, competitive hourly rates and accommodation support for candidates working away from home.

Requirements

• Approved Electrician status.

• Good understanding of electrical regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site-based team.
• COMPEX certification is advantageous but not essential.

Pay & Benefits

• £30.00 per hour for the first 38 hours worked per week.
• £39.00 per hour for hours worked beyond 38 per week.
• 50 hours available per week.
• Ongoing contract with an immediate start available from 26th October 2026.
