Job summary

Sphere Solutions are recruiting an Approved Electrician with a strong electrical testing background to work on Thames Water sites. The role covers fixed electrical testing across site facilities to ensure installations are safe, compliant and maintained to required standards.

Offering ongoing contract hours, a starting date of 19th October 2026, and accommodation support for candidates working away from home, with rate £30.00/hr for up to 38 hours and £36.00/hr thereafter.

Qualifications

• Approved Electrician status and testing qualifications.
• Strong electrical inspection and testing background.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a site team.
• COMPEX certification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fixed electrical testing across Thames Water sites.
• Inspect and test electrical installations and equipment.
• Identify faults, defects and safety issues.
• Complete test documentation and certification accurately.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and site safety procedures.
• Work safely in water industry environments.
