Anderson Wright Consulting Ltd in Southampton is seeking an Electrical Testing and Fixed Wirer Tester to carry out statutory inspections and electrical testing across a range of industrial environments.

You will work autonomously with a national team, applying 18th Edition and 2391/2395 qualifications to deliver accurate EICRs, with a strong benefits package and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition (BS7671) Regulations is essential.
• 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualification essential.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Installation (Part 1, 2 & 3 or 2365 Diploma)
• Experience in fixed wirer testing is advantageous.
• Time-served apprenticeship highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good IT skills and ability to produce technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection and electrical testing of installations in industrial environments.
• Produce EICRs and technical inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with 18th Edition and H&S requirements.
• Provide professional technical advice to clients.
• Work across manufacturing, power, utilities, retail, logistics, transport, and public sector sectors.

Are you a qualified Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Engineer looking to step away from constant site installation work and move into a more autonomous, professional electrical testing and certification role?

Do you hold 18th Edition, testing qualification either 2391 or 2394 & 2395?

We are working with an extremely stable, global leading engineering organisation seeking an Electrical Testing and fixed wirer tester to carry out statutory inspections and electrical testing across a wide range of industrial and commercial environments (never domestic) on the south coast area.

The Role - Electrical Testing and Certification Engineer

You will operate independently while being part of a national engineering team, carrying out high-quality inspection, examination, and electrical testing of installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional technical advice to clients
• Maintain high customer service standards

You will work across varied sectors including manufacturing, power & utilities, retail, logistics, transport, and public sector environments - giving you a technically diverse and interesting workload.
