Expleo Engineering is recruiting a Test Technician on behalf of our client. This role will be responsible for supporting your associated engineer in the delivery of Engine Testing within new test cells, supporting the operations of test cells, and the necessary physical activity of preparation of test samples. This 12-month contract position will be based at Warwick University.

Responsibilities of the Test Technician include:

1. Ensuring facilities are in good working order, conducting user maintenance activities, and working with equipment suppliers to assist in the full functional maintenance of the laboratory equipment.
2. Supporting the Engineer in the liaison with customers to derive complete technical test requirements.
3. Operating facilities, and supporting all processes to defined H&S and other audit-able requirements to ISO standards 16949 and 14001.
4. Monitoring and working with the team to transfer knowledge to new team associates when required.

Skills required for the Test Technician role include:

1. City & Guilds Level 3 in a suitably associated discipline and/or fully time-served apprenticeship.
2. Detail engine inspection, disassembly, and assembly skills.
3. Preparation of the unit under test, including internal combustion systems understanding.
4. Fabrication, welding, and basic level machining is an advantage.
5. Understanding of instrumentation installation.
