Job summary

Omega in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician on a 12-month contract onsite. You will test, fault-find and repair electrical and electronic systems and contribute to tool calibration and testing with the production team.

The role involves soldering, crimping, wiring, and using hand tools, with SAP/MRP system interactions. The ideal candidate has electrical or electronic engineering education or equivalent experience and is ready to work 35 hours per week.

• Further education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Test, fault finding, and repair of electrical and electronic systems and components.
• Assist production with tool assembly, calibration, and testing.
• Test electrical and electromechanical tools per procedure; interact with MRP systems (SAP).
• Maintain and repair test equipment used to test tools.
• Soldering, crimping and general wiring tasks.
• Use of hand tools.
• Fault finding.
• Work in accordance with engineering diagram and schematics.
