An Exciting Opportunity for a Commissioning Expert

A leading global asset management company is seeking a Software Commissioning Test Team Leader to oversee on-site commissioning activities for high-profile industrial projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about safety, precision, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all commissioning activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures. They will act as the primary liaison between engineering, planning, and safety teams to ensure the successful delivery of commissioning phases.

Key Duties Include

• Leading and supervising on-site commissioning with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Reviewing and validating commissioning documentation and Safe Systems of Work.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Managing the application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids.
• Ensuring post-commissioning plant configuration aligns with documentation or agreed standards.
• Identifying and escalating system defects or unexpected behaviours.
• Taking immediate action in the event of safety concerns or incidents.
  
  

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA systems.
• In-depth knowledge of control panels, electrical installations, and instrumentation.
• Proven background in on-site testing and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
• Possession of a CSCS card or equivalent - essential.
  
  

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with Plant Historians and network configuration.
• Awareness of Cyber Security and Functional Safety.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC, etc.
