Jaguar TCS Racing is seeking a Test IT Infrastructure Engineer to ensure continuity of infrastructure services across R&D, HIL, DIL, cloud and data processing. You will coordinate hardware movements at test events and support operations at track events across the UK and EU.

You will maintain servers, storage, and on-premise compute and networking; contribute to continuous improvement and ensure security/compliance with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience integrating hybrid-cloud solutions.
• Experience with vSphere virtualization.
• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) Dell VxRail (Desirable).
• Proven experience with Cisco IOS (Desirable).
• Baseline knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure and GCP).
• Knowledge of Palo-Alto networks and cloud-management (Strata-Cloud).
• Experience working within a fast-paced motorsport environment (Desirable).
• Knowledge across storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and RAID configurations (Desirable).
• A friendly and approachable disposition (Essential).

Responsabilités

• Ensure day-to-day continuity of infrastructure services across R&D, HIL, DIL, Cloud and Data Processing operations.
• Coordinate IT hardware movements during test events.
• Support IT operations at track test events in the UK & EU.
• Monitor and maintain health of servers, storage, and connected infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day support for on-premise compute estate (AD, Linux, Windows Server).
• Support on-premise and remote networking (Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN).
• Perform routine updates, patches, and firmware upgrades (Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell).
• Assist with turnaround of race hardware and pit equipment between seasons.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and DR plans.
• Provide advanced technical support for server and network issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and new technologies.
• Ensure ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials compliance and governance.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.

About the role

We are looking for a self-driven Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience to join the Jaguar TCS Racing team. As a Test Infrastructure Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of systems whilst helping deliver new technologies and infrastructure to help ensure success on track.

What you will do

• Help to ensure day-to-day continuity of infrastructure services at the factory across R&D, HIL, DIL, Cloud and Data Processing operations.
• Take ownership of and coordinate IT hardware movements during test events.
• Support IT operations in-person at track test events across the UK & EU.
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of servers, storage, and connected infrastructure.
• Provide day to day support for our on-premise compute estate, including Active Directory, Linux and Windows Server operating systems with the focus to maintain robust and scalable solutions.
• Provide day to day support for our on-premise and remote networking estate, including Cisco switches, Palo-alto firewalls and SD-WAN environments.
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades on Cisco, Palo-Alto and Dell Infrastructure.
• Assist with turnaround of race hardware and pit equipment between seasons.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including server configurations, firewall processes, and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide advanced technical support for server and network-related issues.
• Strive to bring continuous improvement and introduce new technology to the team.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus etc.), internal security and compliance policies.
• Ensure compliance with wider company policy and governance.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to server infrastructure, security and networking.
