Job summary

Jaguar TCS Racing is seeking a Test IT Infrastructure Engineer to safeguard server and networking services across R&D, HIL, DIL, and track environments. You will help deliver new technologies while maintaining robust, scalable infrastructure for race operations.

The role focuses on on-site IT support, cloud integration, and security compliance, working within a fast-paced motorsport setting to keep systems available during events.

Qualifications

• Strong networking knowledge and protocols.
• Experience integrating hybrid-cloud solutions.
• Experience with vSphere virtualization.
• Experience with HCI (Dell VxRail).
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Understanding cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day continuity of infra services across factory R&D, HIL, DIL, Cloud and Data Processing.
• Coordinate IT hardware movements during test events.
• Support IT operations at track tests in the UK and EU.
• Monitor health and performance of servers, storage and connected infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day support for on-premise compute, AD, Linux and Windows Server.
• Assist with on-premise and remote networking (Cisco, Palo Alto, SD-WAN).
• Run routine updates and firmware for Cisco, Palo Alto and Dell infra.
• Maintain documentation for server configurations and disaster recovery.
• Provide advanced server and network support.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new tech.
• Ensure compliance with ISO27001 and cyber security policies.

An opportunity has arisen for a Test IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About The Role

We are looking for a self-driven Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience to join the Jaguar TCS Racing team. As a Test Infrastructure Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of systems whilst helping deliver new technologies and infrastructure to help ensure success on track.

What you will do

• Help to ensure day-to-day continuity of infrastructure services at the factory across R&D, HIL, DIL, Cloud and Data Processing operations.
• Take ownership of and coordinate IT hardware movements during test events.
• Support IT operations in-person at track test events across the UK & EU.
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of servers, storage, and connected infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day support for our on-premise compute estate, including Active Directory, Linux and Windows Server operating systems with the focus to maintain robust and scalable solutions.
• Provide day-to-day support for our on-premise and remote networking estate, including Cisco switches, Palo-alto firewalls and SD-WAN environments.
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades on Cisco, Palo-Alto and Dell Infrastructure.
• Assist with turnaround of race hardware and pit equipment between seasons.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including server configurations, firewall processes, and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide advanced technical support for server and network-related issues.
• Strive to bring continuous improvement and introduce new technology to the team.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus etc.), internal security and compliance policies.
• Ensure compliance with wider company policy and governance.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to server infrastructure, security and networking.

About You

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols – Essential
• Experience integrating hybrid-cloud solutions – Essential
• Experience with vSphere virtualisation and hypervisor - Essential
• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), specifically Dell VxRail – Desirable
• Proven experience with Cisco IOS – Desirable
• Baseline knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure and GCP) - Desirable
• Knowledge of Palo-Alto networks and cloud-management (Strata-Cloud) – Desirable
• Experience working within a fast-paced motorsport environment - Desirable
• Knowledge across storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and RAID configurations - Desirable
