Job summary

TT Electronics, Barnstaple, is hiring a Test & or Inspection Engineer to test and record manufactured or repaired products to internal or external specifications with high accuracy, using ATE or hand-test equipment.

Key responsibilities include timely testing/inspection within costed time frames, complying with General Manufacturing and aerospace controls, and maintaining a zero-defect attitude while driving improvements in a 6S environment.

Qualifications

• Must have safety focus and be a willing, competent team member.
• Willing to undertake an annual eye examination and colour blindness checks.
• Open to learning new skills and IPC 610/620 quality controls as required.
• Adherence to internal specifications, test programmes and drawings is essential.
• Ability to operate in a 6S environment with organised workflow.
• Zero defects, right first-time attitude and KPI awareness.

Responsibilities

Our Barnstaple facility is located in North Devon. Founded in 1948, the site now employs approximately 140 employees and features the Aero Stanrew brand of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for safety critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and transportation industries.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

TT Electronics, Barnstaple, is hiring for a Test & or Inspection Engineer to test & record manufactured or repaired products to internal or external test specifications and a high degree of accuracy, with the aid of ATE, or long hand test equipment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Test & or Inspect product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints
• Complete Test or Inspection tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
• The role requires a zero tolerance to defects
• Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement
• Work within a zero harm culture

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

What We Look For:

• A proven track record of safety and working as a willing, competent member of a team
• A willingness to undertake an annual eye examination & colour blindness checks
• A flexible in approach, with a willingness to learn new skills
• A willingness to undertake learning programmes such as IPC 610/620 ISO quality controls, as necessary
• Close attention to detail, in terms of adhering accurately to internal specifications/test programmes and or customer specifications/drawings test specs
• The ability to work in an orderly manner and organised in a 6S environment
• A zero defects, right first-time attitude
• The ability to work to required Key Point Indicators (KPI) with respect to quality of work, performance & output

Travel may be required to support business needs
