Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) seeks a Test & Inspect Engineer at HMP Belmarsh to ensure electrical systems are safe and compliant. You will perform tests, inspections and maintenance with a skilled team of trades.

The role requires five years as an electrician, test & inspection experience, and strong safety knowledge. Base salary £48,412.56 plus a 5% shift allowance, with benefits including 25 days leave and private GP access.

Qualifications

• At least five years experience working as an electrician.
• Two years experience in a test and inspection electrician or equivalent.
• Experience on commercial/industrial electrical systems and catering equipment.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic IT skills including Excel and Word.
• Experience under pressure to tight deadlines.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation).
• C&G 2391 - Electrical inspection and testing.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• 18th Edition.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
