Job summary

A new contract role for an experienced Automotive Test Engineer in Crewe. The R&D team will drive integration and validation across Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment and Diagnostics.

The role is hands-on, covering development vehicles, test rigs, software integration and test automation. VW Group experience is beneficial and the position is onsite in Crewe.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on automotive testing experience.
• Experience in OEM/Tier1 environments is advantageous.

Job description

New contract available for an experienced Automotive Test Engineer to join the R&D team of a prestigious luxury vehicle manufacturer in Crewe. Working across new vehicle programmes, you’ll support the integration, testing and validation of Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment & Diagnostic systems.

This is a hands‑on role covering:

• Development vehicles & test rigs
• Vehicle software & system integration
• Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment & Diagnostics
• Test planning & validation
• Vehicle log analysis & root‑cause investigation
• Component and test bench testing
• Test automation using Python, Robot Framework & Anna Framework
• Working with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve integration issues

We’re looking for someone with strong hands‑on automotive experience, ideally gained within an OEM, Tier1, dealership or vehicle testing/development environment.

Previous VW Group experience would be particularly advantageous.
