Job summary

La Fosse is recruiting a Test Engineer to join a Berkshire-based team on a 6-month hybrid contract. You will develop, optimise, and support production test solutions for advanced semiconductor devices, driving test coverage and yield improvements while collaborating with design, product and manufacturing groups.

Remote work is not specified; 2/3 days on-site is expected. The role requires hands-on experience with ATE platforms (Teradyne/Advantest), DFT methods (Scan, JTAG, BIST), and data tools

Qualifications

• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, manufacturing processes, and production test environments.
• Proven experience with Design for Test (DFT) methodologies including Scan, JTAG, BIST.

Test Engineer - £450 to £500 inside IR35 - Hybrid (2/3 days per week in the Berkshire office)

Please note: This is a 6 month contract with the expectations candidates will be able to commute to the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

La Fosse have partnered with a with a manufacturing business looking to strengthen its semiconductor test team with the appointment of a Test Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in semiconductor manufacturing and test development who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving product quality improvements.

You will play a key role in developing, optimising, and supporting production test solutions for advanced semiconductor devices. Working closely with design, product, and manufacturing teams, you'll be responsible for improving test coverage, analysing yield performance, and ensuring high-quality products reach customers.

• Experience working with Palantir Foundry
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, manufacturing processes, and production test environments.
• Proven experience working with Design for Test (DFT) methodologies, including Scan, JTAG, BIST, and related test architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with Automated Test Equipment (ATE), ideally across one or more of the following platforms: Teradyne or Advantest (V93K or T2000)
• Experience with tools such as: Python, JMP, SQL, or Excel.
• Experience investigating yield performance, driving yield improvement initiatives, and analysing test effectiveness through coverage metrics.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
