Job summary

Oho Group is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract role (Outside IR35) up to 12 months. You will drive quality across the development lifecycle, designing and executing tests for complex embedded systems and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will bring hands-on manual and automated testing experience, with familiarity in defence/semiconductor or mission-critical sectors and with SIP protocols. The position offers a challenging, cutting-edge environment and opportunities to impact

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing within embedded systems.
• Hands-on manual and automation testing experience.
• Defence/semiconductor or mission-critical sector exposure is preferred.
• Experience with SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).

The Role

As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex systems by driving quality throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases and testing frameworks
• Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve issues early in the development cycle
• Take ownership of test environments, test documentation, and quality metrics
• Champion best practices in test automation and quality assurance to ensure consistently high engineering standards

You will ideally have

• Strong experience in software testing within embedded systems environments
• Hands-on experience with manual and automation testing
• Worked in defence/semiconductor or similar mission critical sectors
• Experience with SIP Session Initiation protocol
