Our OEM Client based in Leamington is searching for a Test Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £21.75 per hour.
This role is key to enabling the laboratory and supports the Lead Engineer for the ongoing operation of the current and future Internal Combustion & Emissions laboratory capability. You will be in direct technical engagement with our client's university academia and third-party engineering teams, supporting your associated engineer in the delivery of engine testing within the new test cells.
Your fundamental role will be to support the supervised operations of test cells and the physical activities involved in preparing test samples, including installation and instrumentation of the unit under test. Collaboration with laboratory customers is essential.
This small team requires coverage of practical, technical, and facility operations, offering a unique hands-on opportunity to build a team working with our client and third parties on the university campus.
You will be engaged with the associated engineer for operating two Multi Cycle Engine Test Dyno facilities but should be flexible to support various facilities, utilizing your skills effectively. The role will start on a standard day shift pattern, transitioning to double day shifts within approximately two months as your familiarity with the systems increases.
