Job description

My remote-based client is looking for a Test Automation Consultant to join their team on a 3-month contract (Outside IR35) to assist with transitioning from manual to automated UI Testing. This role is remote but requires the candidate to be based within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with Manual Testers to identify key UI Testing Automation opportunities.
2. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Playwright UI Test Automation scripts.
3. Integrate automated tests into the existing CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing.
4. Support other forms of testing, including API, Performance, and Regression testing.
5. Participate in defect triage and collaborate with developers and testers to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
6. Lead the quality assurance and best practices for Test Automation across the team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience in writing and maintaining test automation scripts with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
• Strong understanding of UI testing principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD environments, specifically Azure DevOps.
