Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering background.
• ONC/HNC or better.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing/maintenance/technical environment preferred.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings and related documents.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and safe working practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D engineering drawings for customer review and manufacturing.
• Assist in preparing test documentation and test reports.
• Maintain internal QA systems including equipment calibration.
• Participate in product testing programs with other test personnel.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide progress updates as required.

The Job You'll Do:

• Preparation of 2D engineering drawings for both customer review and subsequent manufacturing.
• Assist with the preparation of test documentation and test reports.
• Maintenance of internal QA systems such as equipment calibration.
• Participate in product testing programmes alongside other test personnel.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide clear internal progress updates where required.

About You:

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent experience, in a mechanical engineering discipline.
• Ideally qualified ONC/HNC or better.
• Experienced in an engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings and other similar documents.
• Working knowledge of applicable engineering standards and safe working practices.
• Competence with standard office software (Microsoft Office), in particular, engineering drafting software (AutoCAD preferred).
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Practical, safety-focused, and improvement-minded approach.
