About the role
- Create test strategies, plans, perform tests, and analyze data related to new and existing products for various departments and projects.
- Develop test concepts from planning to commissioning of new test equipment, rigs, jigs, and software/firmware, including automation and simulation, following relevant processes and standards.
- Apply statistical analysis to validate performance.
- Utilize Six Sigma and other statistical tools for test engineering applications.
- Supervise test technicians, ensuring tests are performed and documented according to procedures, H&S, and lab rules.
- Plan, perform, or oversee the building and validation of new test equipment, emphasizing automation via LabVIEW.
- Provide product and test expertise to departments and project teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with international test houses and laboratories.
- Contribute to the global Draeger Test Engineer Network activities.
- Update and maintain test equipment to meet standards and requirements.
- Maintain department standards, procedures, SOPs, and H&S protocols.
- Implement improvements in test equipment and processes.
- Complete projects and tasks aligned with departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and environmental standards.

Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
Related Experience
- Experience in testing, data analysis, and documentation.
- Experience in designing and building test equipment, including hardware/software documentation, verification, and validation.
- Background in Test Labs, R&D, or quality management.
- Experience with high-pressure pneumatic testing and electronics.
- LabVIEW projects experience.
- TestStand experience.
- Programming skills in Python and C#.
- Familiarity with IBM DOORS and RQM.
