Job summary

TRUMPF United Kingdom in Hedge End, near Southampton, seeks a Test Development Engineer to provide software support for production lines. You will develop software and databases, collaborating with mechanical, hardware and R&D teams to resolve issues and drive new NVI/NPI software projects.

Proficiency in LabVIEW for production testing is essential; knowledge of Matlab, VB.net and VB6 is advantageous. This is an on-site role within our Southampton-area operations.

Qualifications

Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent through experience.
Experience with LabVIEW for production testing.
Knowledge of Matlab, VB.net and VB6 is advantageous.
Experience debugging software controlling hardware and power systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement software to automate bespoke ATE systems for Southampton manufacturing lines.
Review or develop software and database/stored procedures.
Investigate and resolve software issues to support production lines.
