SSE plc is seeking a Test Analyst to play a key role in ensuring the quality of our digital products. You will join a cross-functional Agile team to shape testing strategies and drive delivery of innovative solutions.

As part of SSE's digital transformation, you will contribute to testing approaches, environments, and data requirements, supporting continuous improvement and a collaborative, inclusive culture across the team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in environments undergoing change with iterative and adaptive approaches.
• Solid understanding of testing best practice and the development lifecycle.
• Ability to adapt testing processes to optimise delivery of outcomes.
• Experience applying risk-based testing techniques.
• Competence in the use of multiple test management tools.
• Ability to negotiate timelines and other delivery metrics across the product lifecycle.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team of testers and report to management.
• Shows a high level of planning aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality testing activities across your workstream, ensuring solutions are reliable, robust, and meet user needs.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with delivery teams, stakeholders, and business colleagues to drive successful outcomes.
• Provide test expertise throughout the delivery lifecycle, including planning, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Work closely with Delivery Leads to define testing approaches, environments, data requirements, and delivery plans.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance testing practices, processes, and quality standards.
• Support and mentor colleagues, role model best practice, and help foster a secure, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
