Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Test Analyst to join a cross-functional Agile team. The role focuses on shaping testing strategies, ensuring quality, and enabling delivery of digital products and services. It operates within a flexible, collaborative environment during an 8-month fixed-term period.

The successful candidate will deliver testing across workstreams, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvement while engaging with delivery leads to align testing plans and environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality testing activities across your workstream, ensuring solutions are reliable, robust, and meet user needs.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with delivery teams, stakeholders, and business colleagues to drive successful outcomes.
• Provide test expertise throughout the delivery lifecycle, including planning, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Work closely with Delivery Leads to define testing approaches, environments, data requirements, and delivery plans.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance testing practices, processes, and quality standards.
• Support and mentor colleagues, role model best practice, and help foster a secure, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
