Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Test Automation Architect to lead the testing strategy for a Blue Yonder WMS Transformation Program in the UK. You will drive end-to-end testing across UI, API, and integration layers, shaping scalable automation frameworks and ensuring quality across complex warehouse processes.

You will partner with warehouse, platform and business teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver a seamless transformation while advancing shift-left, automation practices and ROI reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in test automation architecture and framework design.
• Hands-on with UI, API, and integration test automation.
• Experience leading automation in BY WMS or similar enterprise WMS.
• Proficient in Java, TypeScript, Python, and JavaScript.
• Solid CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Collaborates effectively with developers, testers and DevOps teams.

Do you have experience with WMS implementations or upgrades in a retail environment (essential)?

If so, our client who provides technology services to one of the UK's largest supermarket chains and its subsidiaries are seeking an experienced Test Automation Architect to lead the testing strategy and execution for a Blue Yonder WMS Transformation Program. The role will be responsible for defining and governing end-to-end testing across functional, system, integration, and automation streams, ensuring quality across complex warehouse and supply chain processes. You will work closely with warehouse team, platform, and business teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver seamless transformation.

Your responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise-wide test automation strategy and roadmap
• Design scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing
• Lead automation for end-to-end testing across BY WMS and integrated systems

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong experience in test automation architecture and framework design
• Expertise in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured)
• Hands-on experience in API and integration testing automation
• Knowledge of BY WMS or similar enterprise WMS platforms
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Typescript, Python, JavaScript)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies and DevOps practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and modern architectures
• Knowledge of test data management and environment setup
• Strong stakeholder and cross-team collaboration skills

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

• Experience with Blue Yonder (BY) WMS implementations or upgrades in a retail environment
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and performance testing for WMS systemsFamiliarity with data migration and validation during legacy-to-modern platform transitions
• Understanding of cloud-based deployments (Azure/AWS) and DevOps practices in testing
