Tesco Market Harborough Express is seeking a proactive Shift Leader for daytime hours.

You will lead in-store teams across departments, drive day-to-day operations, and ensure outstanding customer service while promoting safety, inclusivity, and a culture of teamwork.

This role offers flexible daytime shifts, a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week (with some locations offering more), plus clear progression opportunities within a busy, community-focused Tesco store in Market Harborough.

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what were looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will be responsible for

Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.

Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.

Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.

Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.

Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.

Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.

Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.

You will need

To be over 18 for this role.

Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
