Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking a Shift Lead to join our store team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on leading a busy in-store team, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting daily operations.

You will act as a key point of contact across teams and help drive a positive, inclusive work environment. You will coach colleagues, maintain strong communication, and step in as needed when the store manager is unavailable.

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we're looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will be responsible for

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
