Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily store operations in the United Kingdom. You will lead the team to ensure a high-quality customer experience, manage day-to-day store queries, coach staff, and step in for the Manager when needed. Expect a dynamic environment with a focus on service and teamwork.

In this role you will communicate clearly, motivate colleagues, and help drive inclusive, responsive store operations while upholding Tesco’s standards and values.

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks' notice of your shifts.   Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer's needs are met.
• Build positive, long lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.
