PE Global is recruiting a Sales Representative for a 12-month contract with a leading multinational Animal Health client, based in Hook. The role is field-based, covering GB with extensive travel across the territory and occasional UK/intl visits.

Responsibilities include achieving net sales, managing rebates, educating customers, and building relationships with veterinary practices and key accounts. A flexible mix of face-to-face and virtual support is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of active sales experience within the UK Pet Health Pharmaceutical sector.
  • Track record of achieving ambitious sales targets and growing brands.
  • Strong relationship-building with veterinary customers and decision makers.
  • Experience executing product launch strategies and increasing market share.

  • Manage rebates in line with pricing guidance and monitor performance.
  • Provide clinical and product education to veterinary practices and staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key practices, corporate accounts and KOLs.
  • Deliver a mix of face-to-face and virtual account support and travel as required.
  • Develop strategic business plans and quarterly territory plans to maximise reach.
  • Own the sales process from lead generation to closing commercial agreements.
  • Utilise CRM and market data to inform strategy and actions.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Sales Rep for an initial 12 month contract role with a leading multinational Animal Health client based in Hook.

The position will be field based within GB and will involve extensive travel throughout the territory. This could involve staying away from home and attendance at major conferences and meetings within the UK and potentially occasional visits outside the UK.

Territory: North of Preston to Scottish Borders and East to Leeds

Job Responsibilities
  • Achieve designated net sales target across the focused product profile using our Customer Value Selling Model.
  • Monitor and control rebates for independent practice in line with pricing guidance.
  • Achieve sales activity in line with agreed targets at the segmented customer level.
  • Provide customers with advice and support on product use and disease state, staff training on client education and product promotion, commercial/ business support, marketing/ merchandising and social media activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key veterinary practices, decision makers and KOLs within the territory.
  • Flexibility to provide a combination of face to face and virtual account support.
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen to sell our value-add business consultancy offering to vet practices to leverage sales of our portfolio.
  • Contribute to and therefore be part of the team that achieves the net sales target for the UK and Ireland.
  • Strategic use of our Business resources for example Technical Consultants, Brand and Strategic Account Managers. Include services (such as client surveys) to gain maximum ROI (return on investment).
  • Provide market, competitor, and customer information directly to the commercial team including Key Account Managers, Brand/ Marketing Managers, and the Leadership Team.
  • Collaboration with Marketing, Strategic Account team and Sales Management to carry out customer activity as directed at a practice level
  • Provide a transformational approach to nominated accounts, thus being regarded as a true business partner.
  • Use of our Business tools and information to help customers identify opportunities and implement strategies.
  • Establish a high level of technical knowledge and stay up to date with disease state, competitor and product innovation to recognize clinical positioning and commercial opportunities.
  • Successful launch of new products and innovation.
  • Utilise digital innovation to optimize customer reach and engagement, including personalized videos, interactive video conferencing (e.g Mentimeter) etc
  • Creation of strategic business plan using the SOSTAC framework with a focus on where to play and how to win in all areas of our product portfolio. Quarterly territory plans to be created and executed to ensure customer facing time is maximized.
  • Implementation of our Customer Value Selling model, to develop an understanding of customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Own the entire sales process from lead generation to closing of a commercial agreement
  • Active use of our CRM tool, sales data, competitor brick data and any other available tools to monitor performance and align the activities with key performance objectives such as call segment prioritization, customer contacts and penetration.
  • Growth mindset and personal development: Own a development plan and grow both business and technical knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of active sales experience within the UK Pet Health Pharmaceutical sector. Immediate credibility, established industry contacts, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and products.
  • A documented history of consistently achieving ambitious sales targets, particularly with growth brands.
  • Proven ability to build trusted, and highly effective relationships, with veterinary customers (both independent and corporate accounts). We need to minimise disruption and maintain customer loyalty throughout this cover.
  • Specific experience in successfully executing product launch strategies, driving adoption, and gaining market share in competitive environments.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage a territory effectively, and prioritise activities with minimal supervision during a maternity cover.
  • Candidates who embody a customer-centric approach, collaborative spirit, ethical conduct, and a drive for continuous improvement.
