Job summary

Howdens Joinery is recruiting a Territory Sales Representative to grow our local trade customer base across your designated territory. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building trust with depot teams, and turning conversations into long-term trade partnerships.

You will work closely with depots, manage your pipeline, and drive sustainable growth through strong relationships. A full UK driving license is required, with a clear path to earning bonuses through performance.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business or working in a target‑driven sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self‑motivated and resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisational skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Build and grow the account base across your territory, supporting each depot’s performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and explain its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency.
• Maintain strong relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Own customer enquiries from first contact through resolution and keep data up to date.
