Job summary

SRS Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the North West England and Wales territory, inheriting live customers and sales from day one.

You’ll manage field-based visits, build relationships with merchants and professional trades, and drive new business to grow market share. A strong product knowledge and self-motivation are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Development, Area Sales, Territory Sales or Account Management.
• Proven track record selling into builders’, timber or independent merchants, distributors or the professional trade.
• Ability to grow existing accounts and hunt new business.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivation and organisation – able to work independently in the field.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Grow an established portfolio of trade and merchant accounts.
• Win new business and build a healthy pipeline across the territory.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, face to face.
• Introduce new products and ranges to increase spend in existing accounts.
• Quote, negotiate and close commercial opportunities.
• Plan and run your own diary and territory.
• Deliver against agreed sales targets.
